The International Medical Spa Association Announces First Symposium at Sea
The International Medical Spa Association (IMSA) will hold its first Symposium at Sea, Dec. 1, 2005, aboard the Royal Caribbean cruise ship Enchantment of the Seas.
The four-night, three-day cruise will depart out of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and visit the ports of Key West and Cozumel. Symposium participants will receive up to 15 CME or CEU credits in two tracks: a medical track for licensed health care professionals and a business track designed for spa owners and operators.
"The focus of the symposium will be on quality of client care," said IMSA President Eric Light. "Few other venues this year will offer the quality of education available during the Symposium at Sea. In addition to the main presentations, there will be numerous opportunities for informal networking and small group discussions."
Symposium subjects will include best practices, new technologies and treatments, legal and liability issues, insurance, business structures and marketing. A list of program presenters will be announced shortly.
The symposium registration fee, including CME/CEU certification, is $425. The cost of cabins ranges from $300 to $1,400 per person. Space is limited. Interested parties are encouraged to contact ISMA as soon as possible at 201-865-2065 or
