Los Angeles Hosts 2005 Spa & Resort and Medical Spa Expo and Conference
The Spa & Resort and Medical Spa Expo and Conference was held at the Los Angeles Convention Center, Feb. 27-28, 2005. The event, one of three held throughout the year, showcased the best of the best in the spa and medical spa communities.
Pre-conference educational workshops, dubbed Massage University Courses, were offered in various topics, including medical massage, anti-aging for the face, acupressure, Ayurvedic stone massage, herbology, practice success, and more. Conference workshops explored every spa topic under the sun in seven tracks: operations/management; growth boosters; profit producers; treatments and trends; development/operations; conceptual/trends; and marketing and public relations. Hundreds of vendors exhibited the latest spa products in the exhibition hall, which opened promptly at 10:00 a.m., following the dynamic keynote addresses. Sunday's keynote speech was delivered by Carrie Latt Wiatt, nutrition expert to the stars, and New York surgeon Dr. Steven Pearlman gave Monday's keynote address.
