Andrew Gaeddert, BA, AHG
Andrew Gaeddert is a member of the American Herbalists Guild and has written
numerous books and articles regarding the effectiveness of herbal medicine.
In 1992, he helped develop an herbal formula which was the subject of
a double-blind clinical trial on HIV patients at the University of California
San Francisco, the first time an herbal formula had received such evaluation
in the U.S.
Mr. Gaeddert has studied with master herbalists from the U.S. and China
for the past decade and maintains an herbal/dietary therapy practice in
northern California. He is currently a member of a protocol team investigating
the effects of Chinese herbs on HIV-associated chronic diarrhea. He is
also part of a double-blind study funded by the National Institutes of
Health examining the effectiveness of Chinese herbs to combat anemia. |
